Where to eat
Dotted with marble table tops, the coffeeshop serves traditional kuih kundas, roti canai and your cup of locally brewed coffee or tea. Note a very special water boiler – made of a stainless steel exterior coating a ceramic lining interior, it provides boiling water to brew the drinks. This place would have qualified as Malaysia’s first takeaway outlet with its then signature “kari tiga kupang” (30 cent curry), each order served in a recycled condensed milk tin can!
